This is the Verdict (part 2)

What if the bible really is true? The most important thing in our lives is not that God is on our side but that we are on His.

You see unlike man, God doesn't change his mind.

Job 34:23

23 God has no need to examine men further, that they should come before him for judgment. NIV

God does need to see our point of view. His mind is already made up. He has already declared his judgment. He has already declared his ruling on the matter of Jesus Christ

The world will not conform to anyone's private belief system. We have to free our mind.

This is God's viewpoint:

John 3:19-21

19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.

20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.

21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."

If your desire is to do good in this life, then why won't you come to Jesus? Lets live by the truth, so that whatever we do that's good can be shown that it is done though God.

This is the Verdict (Part 1)

Our goal is to build you up and give you information and revelation, so that you can not only live the Christian life, but give an answer of your faith to those who are in need. In other words, make you a disciple of Christ

Matt 7:21-23

"Not everyone who says to Me,'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.

What is the true will of god? How can we do His will?

22 Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?'

These works that so many of us desire and talk about at church does not seem to be the work God requires.

23 And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!' NKJV

Jesus never knew these people, they were never born again. They were only fakers. They did not do the true will of God.

There is only one work that we can do that will make us acceptable to God. There is only one way to do His will.

John 6:28-29

28 Then they asked him, "What must we do to do the works God requires?"

29 Jesus answered, "The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent." NIV

The goal of this message is to give you God's perspective. Next week there is more in part 2 of "This is The Verdict"

The Resurrection

There is no need to be afraid any longer. We who are in Christ have won. You may live out all the things that God has prepared for you in this life. You may not live up to the standards that you have set for yourself, but you have won. Jesus is the Messiah

This life is fleeting like a whisper, but because He lives we shall live also.

John 5:24

24 "I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.

We have crossed over. If we die, yet shall we live. It's true, it's true. No more fear or bondage. You are free to partake of the abundant life, that Jesus paid a high price to give us.

1 Cor 15:51-58

51 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed- 52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.

55 "Where, O death, is your victory?

Where, O death, is your sting?"

56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

58 Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you.

Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

Lets stand firm. We have won. We have the victory. Thank you Jesus

God bless

Faith a Reaction (part 4)

What does faith do?

Mark 11:22

So Jesus answered and said to them, "Have faith in God.

This verse means exactly what it says

Faith ; moral conviction (of religious truth, or the truthfulness of God or a religious teacher), especially reliance upon Christ for salvation; abstractly, constancy in such profession; by extension, the system of religious (Gospel) truth itself:--assurance, belief, believe, faith, fidelity.

Mark 11:23

23 "For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.

This is saying that if you want to change the circumstances of your life, if you want the desires of your heart to be fulfilled, you must commit your way to Him and have faith in God

But faith in God for what? That God will move on your behaft?

No, faith in the promise that God by His grace has given you the authority to speak to mountains, command them to leave and they will obey you. The purpose of believe and speaking is to change the circumstances.

Stop using faith on God to try to make him do want you want. Your faith does not make God be true to His word. God is true, God is faithful whether we believe or not.

2 Tim 2:13

13 If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself. NKJV

Walking in the Spirit

Galatians  5:16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

The flesh focuses on the carnal.  A life lived by fleshly ideas and wordly desires, is not a life that is controlled by the Holy Spirit. We are called to war against the flesh. The victory in this war is in relationship with Jesus. As christians it is important that we live following the leading of the Holy Spirit. Praise the Lord!
